2021 RONE Award Nominee
HeyGuessWhat! Dead of Winter Break, book three in the Cassandra Sato series, was nominated for a 2021 RONE award from InD’tale magazine!
UPDATE: Finalists have been named for this award and unfortunately Dead of Winter Break didn’t make the cut. It was an honor to be nominated and thanks again to everyone who voted for Cassandra, Murphy, and the rest of the crew at Morton College. I’m working on book 4 right now and it’s going to be another fun ride.
This is Reader Voting Week in the Mystery Category and I need your vote to advance.
- Log In or create an account at https://indtale.com/2021-rone-awards
- Under Week #2 and Mystery, find “Dead of Winter Break by Kelly Brakenhoff” to cast your vote.
You all really came through last year, when Death by Dissertation was named a Finalist! I know it wouldn’t have happened without your support, and I thank you so much.
Voting is open now through April 25th. The four titles with the most votes from the reading public become finalists. I’ll be posting all week on social media and would appreciate your likes, shares & retweets.
Thank you for voting and reading!!
Kelly Brakenhoff is the author of 15 books and a seasoned ASL interpreter. She splits her writing energy between two series: cozy mysteries set on a college campus and children’s books featuring Duke the Deaf Dog.
Parents, kids, and teachers love the children’s books and activity guides because they introduce ASL and the Deaf community through fun, engaging stories. And if you enjoy a smart female sleuth, want to learn more about Deaf culture, or have ever lived in a place where livestock outnumber people, the Cassandra Sato Mystery series will have you connecting the dots faster than a group project coming together the night before it’s due.
A proud mom to four adults, head of the dog-snuggling department, and grandma to a growing brood of perfectly behaved grandkids, Kelly and her husband call Nebraska home.
